Reform Wales Leader Warns Against 'Left-Wing Coalition of Chaos'
The leader of Reform Wales, Tom Giffard, has issued a stark warning against a potential 'Left-wing coalition of chaos' involving Plaid Cymru, Labour, and the Greens, arguing it would perpetuate failures in public services and economic decline. He claims Reform is the only alternative to put Welsh people first.

Reform Wales leader Tom Giffard has launched a blistering attack on Plaid Cymru, Labour, and the Greens, claiming their potential coalition would lead to continued failure for ordinary Welsh people. Writing in the Daily Express Politics, Giffard asserts that only Reform offers a common-sense alternative to what he labels a 'Left-wing coalition of chaos'.
According to the Daily Express, Giffard's criticism stems from 27 years of what he calls 'failure from Labour, routinely propped up by Plaid and the Lib Dems,' resulting in Britain’s weakest economy, longest NHS waits, and poorest school results in Wales. He highlights Reform’s vision for tax cuts, reduced bureaucracy, and scrapping Net Zero subsidies to ease the cost of living for working families.
Giffard explicitly states: “Be in no doubt: the Plaid Cymru separatists would be even worse than Welsh Labour and that’s saying something. We must stop them.” He further warns, “The only way to stop the Plaid-Labour-Green coalition of chaos and to put Welsh people first, once and for all, is to vote Reform on May 7.”
This strong condemnation suggests a future where public services remain neglected, and taxpayer money is misspent on what Giffard calls 'separatist goals' and 'extreme ideology'. He points to Plaid’s commitment to an independence commission, which he claims would cost millions and distract from real priorities, and their stance on issues like the 'Nation of Sanctuary plan' and 'gender ideology' in schools and the NHS, which Reform vows to reverse.
With the Welsh election looming on May 7, voters face a clear choice: either the continuation of what Reform describes as establishment failures under a potential Plaid-Labour-Green alliance, or a shift towards Reform's policies aimed at prioritising Welsh people, public services, and the cost of living.
