Prime Minister Keir Starmer has declared his government will be "defined by rebuilding our relationship with Europe", vowing to put Britain "at the heart" of the trading bloc. Ian Duncan Smith slammed the Prime Minister's calls to surrender British sovereignty as "a narrow, cynical and deeply irresponsible misuse of the powers of office."
